Our baby girl, Anna Fiorenza Shaw, was born at 10:35pm on Wednesday 2nd of April. After a 19 hour labour, she came out in two quick pushes and immediately took our breath away. A little Autumn girl with big blue eyes and a shock of white-blonde hair.
The following photos show Daddy's first cuddle, Mama's first cuddle, her gorgeous face and hair, and Anna's first measurements. And Anna's first use of her very healthy lungs.
Anna broke hearts all over the hospital. The midwives came to see her at every roster change, she was called the "sweetest baby in the ward" and even the lady doing a flu vaccine survey started crying when she met her. Apparently she was the only blonde in the hospital at the time and they all did a double-take when they looked between she and her mother. It all made sense when Luke would come for a visit.
More photos and stories to come, but I may leave it until the school holidays when I can nap while Luke has fun showing all of his pictures. Including the couple we took of Anna's first introduction to Sheffield Wednesday at 5am on Saturday morning. Apparently they must've known she was watching because they put on quite a show and "played really well". They still lost though...
Much love,
Ally xxxx
