the brook/dyson wedding

Anna was flower girl at her (great-) aunty Megan's wedding in May. She had a lovely time, twirling in her cute dress and jumping into all of the professional photos, doing lots of photo-bombing, and monopolising the attention of her aunties Laura-Jo and Emma.

It was a beautiful wedding and it was so lovely to celebrate with the Brook family.

nanna's visit

It was under really sad circumstances, but we were so happy to see Nanna Sam for the first time in almost a year. Turns out if you put Anna, Nanna and a steam train together, there can be no issues!

two!

Anna's second birthday fell on the first Saturday of the Easter school holidays this year, so we were all pretty shattered from finishing a full term of work and nursery.

The weather wasn't brilliant (though nothing on last year's monsoon!!) and we had a lot of prep to do before her birthday party on the Sunday, but we still managed to make a really good day of it. Thanks mostly to the incredible presents she received. Once again she was very spoilt by family and friends, but she also seemed to recognise how fun it would be to share and play with her new toys with her little friends.

So Saturday looked like this:

the easter hunt

This was Anna's first Easter where she got to hunt for some eggs. We weren't prepared enough to do the dip-dyed eggs which all other supermums make, but we're calling it a win because we were able to let Anna have a few chocolate-y snacks that were somehow miraculously gluten-free and dairy-free and put them in some plastic eggs around her playroom.

The hunt was successful, and she even managed to sneak a few chocolate buttons to her dolls before breakfast. Favourite moment is when she said thank you to her dolls, her teddies and her books for hiding the eggs.

Big lovely lamb roast, veg and salad for lunch (note Anna's face in one of the photos when I told her she had to wait until I'd taken a photo before she could start eating...)

HAPPY EASTER!!
With love from,
Alessandra, Luke and Anna xx
