busy girl...

Hi all,

So Anna has been very busy over the past couple of weeks working out all the amazing things she is now capable of doing. Standard for any other parents out there reading this, but very exciting for us nonetheless. In the past fortnight she has learnt to:
*Sit up by herself [kind of...]
*Eat her feet [sometimes both at once because she's a greedy Italian]
*Roll from back to stomach!

The rolling is obviously the most exciting [but frustrating] for her because it means she can get around places. Except at the minute she can only roll up one way - so if something is on her "other" side she cracks it, screams, starts moaning, looks at Ally or myself for some kind of assistance, then screams again. I offer no assistance aside from a look of "if you can't do it yourself..." whilst Ally rushes over and hands her whatever it is she wants.

Anyway, here's a video of the first ever roll. Apologies in advance for my voice going up about 3 octaves:

Did I mention previously that Ally was out when Anna did this? Maybe it's only me who finds that hilarious...

With the sitting up - she's so inquisitive about absolutely everything that's going on around her all of the time that it isn't very often she's able to sit still without jolting her head round to see what's happening or reach for something on the floor or see who's just walked in or shout at the flowers...so we're calling it progress if she can manage 10 seconds or so.

If only she were a baby with a constant vacuous expression who just stayed wherever and however they were plonked...like I'd ever want that!

Lately she's also taken to screaming for the sake of showing off her voice - particularly when being held by someone. Here, my good friend Michaela cops a personalised klaxon...amongst other things:

Think that nicely sums up what's been going on thus far in our school holidays. Back to work in a little over a week, then only 11 weeks til summer break. It's been a busy year so I think the three of us are all hanging out for a change in the New Year!

That's all for now.

With love, as always,

Luke xxxx
