thirty-six weeks

Over the past month, Luke and I have both gone back to work and so there is little time to get the last few things organised. So these are the little things we have been able to do...

We needed "something to put the baby in" so Luke bought a Tiny Love 3 in 1 Rocker Napper (essentially a bassinet that turns into a rocker) for me for Valentine's Day, and two weeks later I finally found the time to put it together.

I also organised a Dad-Bag for him, which had all of the necessary essentials to take care of a baby when you go out, but all items were in blue, were football-related or had easy-to-handle clips and functions.

Nonna, on the other hand, has been a real trooper. Every day she sits outside with the puppies and knits or crochets something new. So far we've gotten a handful of hats, a jacket and some booties. More still to come apparently. She also managed to find clothes that she and my mother made for us when we were little, and a Christening outfit from the 60s.

This baby is going to be well-dressed and very, very warm.

I was meant to be finishing work this week but couldn't stand the idea of four weeks at home just pottering around waiting for baby to arrive, so instead I'm working until I'm 38 weeks and finish on March 10. My lovely workmates have created a baby countdown for me and every day I get a new surprise present and hint or tip. Feeling extremely lucky right now.

Can't wait until this baby shows up. Midwife is saying all is perfect and baby is looking ready to come out. Now it is just a waiting game where I am getting excited every time I feel the baby pitch forward, and Luke has his phone on his desk all day at work...

Lots of love xx
